    Log Portable workstation: A4 H2O w/ 280 radiator

Ordered and already received the "Mesh Frontend kit" for the O11 Evo. Of which I intend to use the mounting brackets for somehow mounting the AIO to the case. As of now, its only held in place thanks to the tubes and a few repurposed hard rubber blocks from other cases (primarly meant for...

Technically I only had to pay for the case and the mainboard. So its more like the price for a used 3060 Ti. All the other components have already been sitting here either for quite a while (PSU, GPU), are left-over parts (the 280 AIO) or are in active use (eg. the CPU, RAM and storage). cu, w0lf.

Motherboard Moving from ASUS B760 I to z790, etc...advice needed on best modest price MB

AFAIK the thinnest is the Alphacool Nexxos ST20. Its 20 mm thin, 311 x 140 x 20 mm are the official exact dimensions. So if you pair them with regular sized fans, that'd be 45 - 47 mm, or if you go with slim ones, it'd be even down to 35.6 mm (rad + Silverstone Air Slimmer 140. One of the few...

Its an AIO, ie. the be quiet Silent Loop 2 280. Gonna post a few pictures on my insta as soon as I got enough together. cu, w0lf.

Also ordered: Some hard rubber rolls / pads which I intend to use as ... exactly that: padding for the radiator. Until I come up with a better solution, eg. proper mounting brackets. cu, w0lf

I've actually seen several of such builds (mostly on Reddit in r/sffpc), a few in the Ridge, but also in different cases, and they seem to do decently well. Would have been my other option: mATX + 30x40x10 case, with either a 240 or a 280 rad sandwiching the GPU, and PSU positioned in front of...

    Log Portable workstation: A4 H2O w/ 280 radiator

Today, I received my fallback case (see other thread), the A4 H2O with PCIe 4 riser cable. Did a quick test fit, and as it turns out, my be quiet Silent Loop 2 280 AIO fits almost perfectly. Had to get a bit creative with the tube routing, but it works! The system specs are basically the same as...

    Advice Sliger S610 or A4-H2O?

Lets call this solved: I'm currently building in the A4-H2O, which finally arrived today :D I'd call it the smallest case which will fit an 280 AIO without heavier modifications. cu, w0lf.

    Advice Sliger S610 or A4-H2O?

And in terms of "a lot of work": I just did a test fit in the A4-H2O (which arrived about an hour ago). NO, that was NOT a lot of work.Building inside the case was much easier than even in the Asus AP 201, and thats a very well-rounded case (ie. the current MFF PC goat). Took me less than 45...

    Advice Sliger S610 or A4-H2O?

Brief specs: 13700k + Gigabyte Gaming RX 6800 OC (to be replaced with an RTX 4070) Full specs found at the start of my Mesh-mATX build log. Basically just replacing the AIO + the mainboard. And also, after doing my S396 mod, easy feels kinda boring :D cu, w0lf.

    Lian Li/DAN A4-H2O

For those who are wondering whether a 280 AIO / radiator might fit side-mounted: Yes, it does. Tested with the be quiet! Silent Loop 2 280 (314 x 140 x 27 mm, 1x 140 x 25 SW 3 + 1x 120 x 25 mm SW 4 HS with Noctua adapter). Using an AIO, there is just this issue, that the in / outlet ports of...

Motherboard Moving from ASUS B760 I to z790, etc...advice needed on best modest price MB

Current result: It DOES fit. Panel closes et all. Tight fit, but all in where it belongs. BUT: You need to get creative with the PSU position, as this clashes right with the inlet / outlet ports of the radiator. With a custom loop, this might be not such a big issue. Edit: Got creative with the...

Discussion What do you consider your end game?

Yeah, all that glass side panels get on my nerves, too. If you want to show off, you'd pick a different case anyway. Or make it like the NR200P - comes both with glass and just vented side panel. Pick the one you like, and no more mind twisting how to modify or custom 3d print / CNC / laser-cut...
